BIOGRAPHY

Transmitter is a band , which was founded 2000 in Hanover . The music of Transmitters uses different genres. In addition to electro , hip hop and dub elements, influences from Jungle , rock and reggae are also found . Concerts are supplemented by a light and video performance.

HISTORY

Transmitter came out in January 2000 from the formation Psynostics , which was already active at the beginning of the electronic wave emerging in the 1990er years. The band consisted of Mo Heidrich, René Laroche ( bass ) and Michael Lichtblau (drums). A little later the English singer and MC Jeff Ogle completed the group. After the first concerts René Laroche left the band for private reasons. His interpretation of the bass game for electronic music, however, still shaped the music of the band. A new recording of a bassist was renounced. At the same time, studios were used in Hanover. Through the still existing contact with the Berlin label Timing Recordings , especially to Armin Mostoffi, the band organized the first nationwide tour in 2001.

In the years 2000 to 2003, about 100 concerts were played without record or booking agency . Martin Hauck, who expanded the band spectrum with his video projections, received support on stage from 2002 onwards. This year, Armin Mostoffi came into contact with the Berlin producer JA Skutnik ( Nitribeat ). In the following two years, the sound and arrangement of the band was further developed in his studio in Berlin- Kreuzberg.
In November 2004 Pop Hooligan appeared in cooperation with Skutnik, who moved to London shortly afterwards, which led to the end of the collaboration. The album was the single Westside Criminal , with a video on the Teufelsberg, which is no longer accessible in Berlin.

At the end of 2004 a club tour of Germany followed. This tour continued in the summer of 2005 in Great Britain, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. After the tour, work began on the second album i see red , which was released in April 2007. Previously, in March of that same year, the single-release No.1 appeared. In 2007, Stefan Bielesch took the drummer's part on the summer tour of Michael Lichtblau for professional reasons. This tour brought the band back to Great Britain, the Netherlands to Belgium and Switzerland. At the end of 2007, Michael Lichtblau handed over the drums part to Stefan Bielesch. After a few festival and club performances the EP Tripswitcher appeared at the end of 2008. This was followed by a short tour with the bands Dan Hiob Experiment and Ostkreutz.

In May 2009, the single Fall to the Floor was released. The graphic artist Eike Braselmann from Hannover was responsible for the video for the single in the style of Japanese manga comics . In the summer of 2009, transmitters took part in several festivals, such as the Taubertal Festival, the Open Flair, and the Prestenice Festival in the Czech Republic. On this tour Ti Schimschal, one of the former Psynostics, completed the band as VJ. After leaving the company in autumn 2014 for professional reasons, he remained a graphic artist and programmer.
In the autumn / winter of 2009, Transmitters accompanied the Erfurt electric rockers from Northern Lite on their German-wide Letters & Signs- Tour.

In September 2010 the single Never Mess appeared as the first release of the album Overloader , which was released in October 2010. In the following years the third album Overloader (October 2010) and the EP 40.000 Horses (May 2012) appeared alongside the singles Never Mess (September 2010), Creation (May 2012).
The album Smaschine released in January 2015 is said to have been the last physical record. The band intends in the future only to publish in various digital formats.

After two years of Europe-wide tour 2015/2016, Transmitter plays in clubs, festivals and other festivals in England, Czech Republic, Italy, Croatia, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Georgia and Germany.
